What the Book is About

This book lovingly breaks down the prayer line by line, helping little ones know that they are never alone — that their guardian angel is with them, protecting and guiding them every day.

With gentle language, whimsical illustrations, and reflections that speak to a child’s heart, Dear Angel of God turns a familiar prayer into a beautiful conversation between a child and their Heavenly friend.

Why it was written?

“Mom, what does ‘to whom God’s love commits me here’ mean?”

I didn’t expect that question. Not during our quiet bedtime prayer.
But it came—followed by more questions. Night after night.
Sometimes the same one.
Sometimes a new one.
And admittedly… sometimes, I didn’t have the answer right away.

It made me realize that the prayers we’ve grown up saying—so familiar and comforting—can feel big and confusing to little hearts.
And maybe that’s okay.
Maybe it’s a chance to slow down… and walk through the words together.

That’s how Dear Angel of God began.
A small book with a big hope: to help children understand the prayer we say so often, and feel the love behind the words.

It started as something just for my child. But now, I’m sharing it in case it speaks to other little ones' hearts, too.
